Software buying is broken. Vendor marketing is louder than ever, review sites are riddled with undisclosed conflicts of interest, and the tools that get the most hype are often the ones with the biggest PR budgets — not the best products.

Flipside exists to be the other side of that story. We are independent reviewers who actually use the software we write about. We sign up for real accounts, put tools through their paces over weeks or months, stress-test their edge cases, and give you an honest read on whether they're worth your team's time and money.

Our reviews are contrarian by design. If a tool is massively hyped, we approach it with healthy skepticism. We ask questions vendors don't want you to ask: What breaks at scale? What's buried in the pricing? What does customer support look like when something goes wrong? Which competitors do the same thing for less?

We use affiliate links, and we want to be upfront about it. When you click a link and buy a product, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
